You will join a collaborative CNC team of approximately ten people in a large, semi-temperature-controlled shop in Saint Paul, MN. The group emphasizes a scientific, data-driven approach to machining, where feedback and suggestions for process improvement are actively encouraged. About the Role
This position focuses on setting up, operating, and conversational programming of a Mazak QUICK TURN 350 MSY lathe with live tooling and multi-spindle capability. You will work hands-on across both CNC and manual equipment, machining a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys like Inconel, copper, and nickel. The role involves repairing welded components with imperfections and maintaining tight tolerances (typically ±0.002") to ensure high-quality parts.
You will contribute to data-driven process optimization by troubleshooting setups and tooling issues independently. The position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to start an hour earlier or later as long as job requirements are met, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
