At the Gss Nd Mandan Sunset facility in Mandan, ND, the Nursing Assistant serves as a vital caregiver and a core member of the nursing team. This role exists to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care that addresses both the physical and psychological needs of our seniors, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained throughout their stay.
In this position, you will be the face of our care team, assisting residents with essential activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and dining. Your day will involve creating positive dining experiences, assisting with meals and snacks, and providing psychosocial support. You will also play a key role in resident wellness by assisting with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range-of-motion exercises. As a trusted member of the team, you will document resident interactions, communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse, and support housekeeping and recreational programs to keep living areas clean and engaging.
To join our team, candidates must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of hire. We provide CNA training and certification for those who qualify. Successful candidates will also need to complete yearly competency testing and maintain required continuing education credits.
