Join a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of history providing housing and services to seniors. We are committed to delivering quality care and service within a Christian environment.
At our Bismarck facility, the Nursing Assistant serves as a vital caregiver, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be an integral member of the nursing team, responsible for delivering age-appropriate care that addresses both the physical and psychological needs of our residents.
Your day will involve supporting residents with essential activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing, while also assisting with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques. You will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks, and you will help maintain clean and operational living areas. Additionally, you will document resident interactions, communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse, and encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Employees enjoy paid time off, daycare partnerships within the community, and access to scholarships and sponsorships for further education. We also provide shift differentials for nights, weekends, and pick-up shifts, along with direct access to earnings daily.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old. While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, the essential requirement is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing, or the ability to obtain state certification within four months of hire. The facility provides CNA training and certification if needed.
Successful candidates must complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain 12 hours of continuing education annually. The role may also require a valid driver's license and medical qualification for driving functions, depending on facility needs.
