Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- check_circleRespond to resident emergencies and provide first-aid assistance as needed
- check_circleDocument changes in resident functional status, vitals, and personal needs
- check_circleMaintain a safe, home-like environment and practice safety with equipment and chemicals
- check_circleMonitor resident health, safety, and well-being and report changes to nursing staff
- check_circleDocument all medications administered and those not given in compliance with regulations
- check_circleAssist with oxygen administration and other medical problems outlined in care plans
- check_circleReport on-the-job injuries to supervisors and maintain resident confidentiality
- check_circleAdminister medications accurately according to physician orders and resident service plans
- check_circleComplete incident reports and maintain accurate resident records
- check_circleEncourage socialization and assist with resident activities and outings
Requirements
- verifiedCertified Medication Aide certificate or state required med pass certificate
- verifiedBasic First Aid Training
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED
- verifiedExperience in working with older adults
- verifiedExperience in medication administration and medications
