About the Role
This position serves as the foundational level for Registered Nurses with more than 12 months of experience. As a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team, you will provide and coordinate independent care within a clinical specialty. Operating under limited supervision, you will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment of patients, including the development, evaluation, and modification of their plans of care.
You will function as a key member of the Care Team and Support Team, interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to your area of expertise. Your role involves delegating duties to other care team members, assigning nursing care responsibilities, and establishing priorities based on essential patient needs and available unit resources. You will collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and the broader healthcare team to ensure patient outcomes are met through a goal-directed plan of care.

Your work directly impacts patient safety and the quality of care delivered from arrival to departure. You are expected to demonstrate sensitivity to patient and family rights, identify learning needs, and implement appropriate measures to meet them. Additionally, you will contribute to unit-level governance, recruitment, retention activities, and team-building efforts to support the organization's broader goals.

Requirements
- verifiedRegistered Nurse licensure in Maryland or eligible via Compact state agreements
- verifiedBSN preferred
- verifiedCurrent AHA BLS certification required
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification required
- verifiedUnit specific certifications (PALS, NRP) as required
- verifiedOne year of nursing experience
- verifiedBasic computer skills
- verifiedMaintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years
