About the Role
This position serves as the foundational level for Registered Nurses with more than 12 months of experience. As a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team, you will provide and coordinate independent care within a clinical specialty. You will utilize the institution's care delivery and professional practice models as your frame of reference, functioning under limited supervision to assess patients, develop plans of care, and perform complex procedures specific to your area of expertise.
You are a vital part of the Care Team and Support Team, accountable for patient outcomes, family education, and the totality of your work performance. This role requires you to hold yourself to the Service Standards and the Nursing Mission, Vision, and Values while collaborating with physicians, case managers, and unit staff to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.

- check_circleCollaborate with Case Managers to evaluate outcomes and plan of care effectiveness
- check_circleIdentify patient and family learning needs and implement appropriate education measures
- check_circleDelegate duties to other care team members and assign nursing responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure patient safety by taking action to correct observed risks and reporting adverse events
Requirements
- verifiedRegistered Nurse licensure in Maryland or eligible via Compact state agreements
- verifiedBSN preferred
- verifiedED experience highly preferred
- verifiedCurrent AHA BLS certification required
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification required
- verifiedPALS, NRP certifications required if unit-specific
- verifiedBasic computer skills required
- verifiedOne year of nursing experience
- verifiedMaintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years
Nice to Have
BSN degree. Emergency Department (ED) experience.
