This position serves as the foundational level for Registered Nurses with more than 12 months of experience. As a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team, you will provide and coordinate independent care within a clinical specialty. You will utilize the institution's care delivery and professional practice models as your frame of reference, functioning under limited supervision to assess patients, develop plans of care, and perform complex procedures specific to your area of expertise.
You are a vital part of the Care Team and Support Team, accountable for patient outcomes, family education, and the totality of your work performance. This role requires you to hold yourself to the Service Standards and the Nursing Mission, Vision, and Values while collaborating with physicians, case managers, and unit staff to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
We are committed to maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement. As a member of our team, you will actively participate in patient safety initiatives, taking action to correct observed risks and reporting adverse events or near misses. You will contribute to unit governance, recruitment, and retention efforts, while engaging in team-building and regular staff meetings.
Our organization values transparency and integrity. We are dedicated to protecting our candidates and employees; like many employers, we are aware of cybercriminals impersonating recruiters. Please note that we will never ask for banking details, personal identification, or payment via email or text. If you suspect fraud, please contact us immediately at careers@umms.edu.
All application information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines. We encourage qualified candidates to review the 2025-2026 UMMS Benefits Guide for a comprehensive overview of our offerings. For this full-time, days-shift position in the Emergency Department (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), we offer a competitive pay range and a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year work commitment (restrictions may apply).
We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member can thrive.
