Founded in 1976 by 29 physicians, The Woman's Hospital of Texas was established to meet a critical need in Houston for a facility dedicated solely to women in all stages of life. As the first women's hospital in Houston and the first facility in Texas focused on the health of women and newborns, we have grown into the state's premier facility for women and children. Our care philosophy is
Woman First,
which is embedded in our name and founding mission.
Today, we deliver over 800 babies a month—more than any other hospital in Texas—and care for more multiple births than any other facility in the region. Our Level IV NICU provides the highest level of care for premature babies, and we host the area's only March of Dimes NICU Family Support program. As a member of HCA Houston Healthcare, we are part of a comprehensive network delivering stronger, smarter, and more accessible care to women across the Houston area.
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit during your designated shift. This role exists to bridge clinical excellence with operational efficiency, ensuring that the team has the staffing support, technology, and resources needed to focus on what they do best: delivering safe, high-quality care.
In collaboration with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies. You will serve as a resource for staff, modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values to support an unparalleled patient experience. Your day will involve assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput, participating in quality assessments, and fostering a culture of teamwork that drives improved outcomes. You will also support staff scheduling, inventory control, and the development of new team members, ensuring the facility operates as a competitively better organization.
At HCA Healthcare, we recognize that nurses are essential to the delivery of healthcare and serve as its foundation. We are committed to equipping nurses with the tools and resources they need to deliver exceptional patient care, championing the profession, and supporting the advancement of nursing's future. HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
