About the Role
As a Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be the backbone of our diagnostic capabilities, performing complex clinical testing across multiple disciplines including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, immunology, and transfusion services. Your work involves analyzing and interpreting results, operating and maintaining advanced laboratory instruments, and ensuring strict adherence to quality control and regulatory standards.
In this position, you will serve as a technical resource, orienting and precepting new staff members and students while collaborating closely with pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You will also participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and patient safety. - check_circleEnsure proper collection, labeling, processing, and storage of specimens to maintain specimen integrity
- check_circleAdhere to CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital policies including safety and infection prevention protocols
- check_circleServe as a technical resource to orient and precept new staff members and students within the laboratory
- check_circleCollaborate with pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
