Mayo Clinic is top-ranked in more specialties than any other care provider according to U.S. News & World Report. As we work together to put the needs of the patient first, we are also dedicated to our employees, investing in competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit plans to take care of you and your family, now and in the future. With continuing education and advancement opportunities at every turn, you can build a long, successful career with Mayo Clinic.
You will be a vital part of our laboratory operations, collecting, receiving, and processing a wide variety of specimens—including body fluids, blood, urine, swabs, and stools—in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. Your work will involve performing clinical testing using automated, semi-automated, and manual technologies, while maintaining rigorous quality control and assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy of reported results.
This role offers the opportunity to work across different sections of the laboratory, including Blood Banking, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/PCR, Urinalysis, and Receiving and Processing Specimens. You will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly instrument maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting validation and correlation of equipment. Effective communication with providers, nurses, and colleagues regarding critical values and clinical care is essential. The position requires flexibility to work in various sections, participate in external quality controls, and maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation.
Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations. Today, our employees are located at our three major campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; and Rochester, Minnesota, as well as at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities and our international locations. Each Mayo Clinic location is a special place where employees thrive in both their work and personal lives. This role requires availability for weekends, overnight, and holiday shifts, as well as on-call duties.
Interested candidates should apply directly through the Mayo Clinic careers portal. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
