The Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Manager to lead daily operations at our Yukon, OK site. As a key representative of our Joint Venture, you will serve as the department head, ensuring the laboratory meets rigorous quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical laboratory operations and broader hospital administration. You will manage all technical and non-technical personnel, overseeing staffing, schedules, and payroll while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The position requires a leader who can effectively collaborate with Regional Managers, Point of Care Staff, Hospital Nursing, and Administration to solve problems and meet physician needs.
Your day will involve representing the laboratory in hospital functional and leadership meetings, including Huddles, Inspection teams, and Patient Care committees. You will review weekly and monthly Quality Control records, ensuring compliance with the QA program, and mentor staff in supervisory skill development. As the accountable leader for the accuracy and reliability of all lab services, you will plan and direct daily activities, handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting while maintaining a positive, professional, and supportive work environment.
This position is based in Yukon, OK, with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30. However, flexibility is essential; hours may vary based on business needs, and the role requires availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet staffing requirements.
