This position serves as a vital clinical expert and liaison, bridging the gap between the IT team and clinical operations. You will be the go-to resource for nursing preceptors, new clinical hires, and providers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of clinical documentation requirements and promoting optimal workflows.
In this role, you will provide hands-on support during the "at the elbow" phase for new UHS providers and staff, assisting with basic personalization such as order favorites and smart phrase development. Your day-to-day involves conducting clinical rounding in the inpatient setting to offer operational support, troubleshooting EMR issues, and collaborating with informatics teams and Epic analysts to resolve technical challenges.
You will play a key part in technical dress rehearsals and go-live support, ensuring nursing staff and providers are ready for new implementations. By monitoring clinical reports and analyzing compliance data, you will help identify root causes for decreased compliance and drive improvements in clinical efficiency, patient safety, and revenue optimization. Additionally, you will represent the clinical perspective in focus groups, regulatory visits, and operational committees, evaluating emerging technologies to ensure they align with strategies for cost, safety, and quality outcomes.
