The Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a vital bridge between nursing science, computer science, and information science. In this role, you will manage and process clinical data to facilitate high-quality healthcare delivery. Your primary focus will be leading clinical informatics projects and optimizing our Epic EMR system. You will apply a consistent methodology of workflow analysis and validation, ensuring that all initiatives adhere to nursing practice standards, regulations, privacy policies, and organizational guidelines.
As a key liaison, you will work collaboratively with department managers, technical experts, and clinical staff across various patient care departments. This position is designed for those who want to do the best work of their career within the Kansas City region's premiere provider of health services.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Kansas City area, as in-person duties are required. Typical work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Candidates must be located near the Kansas City area and possess an active Missouri nursing license. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in Clinical Informatics. A Master's degree in Nursing or Informatics, along with Informatics Nursing Certification from ANCC, is preferred.
