About the Team
Prisma Health, South Carolina's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN physician with a passion for teaching to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Columbia, SC. As part of our diverse OBGYN team, you will have the support of 5 Advanced Practice Providers and the opportunity to work alongside 19 Ob/Gyn physicians, including specialists in Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Complex Family Planning, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and Genetic Counseling.
This Academic Generalist role includes clinical responsibilities across all four clinic locations: 9 Medical Park, 2 Medical Park, Sunset Drive, and Hardscrabble Ob/Gyn. Each site is located in close proximity within the Columbia area, allowing for easy collaboration and a smooth workflow across sites. You will be supported by a dedicated team of laborists and an onsite midwifery program in Labor & Delivery, ensuring a collaborative and balanced work environment.
About the Role
In this position, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of OBGYN medicine by educating medical students, APP students, and OBGYN residents. The Richland campus serves as the primary site for graduate medical education for the University of South Carolina, offering multiple residencies and fellowships. You will receive an academic appointment with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, commensurate with experience.
