The Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and forward-thinking physician passionate about advancing the field of women's health. This role is designed for a candidate committed to an academic career who can apply creativity to program growth and development.
As a member of a dedicated team, you will provide care as an obstetrician/gynecologist at UF Health Shands Hospital, see patients at various clinics, and perform major and minor gynecologic surgeries. You will be comfortable providing a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic care, including to medically complex patients. The position includes shared responsibility for rotating night and weekend call. Focus areas of special interest in women's health care are encouraged and supported.
The College of Medicine plays a pivotal role in the education of medical students, resident physicians, and fellows through its collaboration with UF Health Physicians practices, UF Health Shands Hospital, and the Malcolm Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a faculty member, you will advance this educational mission by teaching junior medical students, serving on hospital, medical, and department committees, and participating in department activities such as rounds, special lectures, and postgraduate courses. Faculty members are also expected to participate in scholarly activities, including research and quality initiatives appropriate to their experience and interests.
