As a Registered Dietitian, you will provide essential clinical nutrition services to hospitalized patients, serving as a critical link between medical care and nutritional well-being. Your work encompasses the full spectrum of patient nutrition, from initial assessment and care planning to education and discharge coordination. Beyond direct patient care, you will oversee menu management and lead staff education on therapeutic diets, allergen management, and nutrition standards to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Your day is defined by collaboration and compliance. You will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapy, case management, and Food & Nutrition Services to optimize patient experiences and clinical results. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to maintaining regulatory excellence; you will guide staff through survey processes, maintain an on-site presence with surveyors, and coordinate timely information requests to ensure the hospital remains survey-ready. You will also prioritize high-risk referrals, conduct thorough nutrition assessments, and ensure all documentation meets strict hospital and regulatory standards.
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and privacy. In this role, you will actively support performance improvement initiatives and policy updates, ensuring that infection prevention and allergen-control practices are rigorously followed. Your expertise will help drive a culture of continuous improvement within our clinical nutrition and food service operations.
