You will join the ABQ ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team within the Behavioral and Mental Health department. This group operates in a high-intensity clinical environment dedicated to delivering comprehensive psychosocial evaluation, diagnostic, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services. The team serves a diverse patient population spanning neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups, requiring a high degree of independent decision-making and program administration.
This position is designed to provide, oversee, and administer a wide range of clinical services while leading and training lower-level counselors, social workers, students, and interns. You will serve as a central figure in the therapeutic process, preparing treatment and discharge plans, consulting with multidisciplinary staff, and arranging therapeutic interventions for individuals with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing counseling and psychotherapy to clients and families, managing civil commitment documentation, and performing administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures and participating in research projects. A key component of the role involves promoting best practices in treatment and ensuring patient safety by proactively identifying risks and encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care. You will also provide side-by-side support and coaching in home environments and field settings to assist clients with Activities of Daily Living.
In addition to the base salary, this role offers a $6.00/hr Safety Incentive Pay. Shift differentials are available, including 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.
Compensation for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations. Candidates should review the essential qualifications, which include a Master's degree in a related discipline and three years of directly related experience in an age-appropriate environment.
