About the Role
As a Charge Nurse at Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), you will serve as a vital leader in our mission to support patient care, uphold our core values, and ensure a philosophy centered on exceptional customer service. This role is designed to maintain the continuity of safe, effective, and cost-efficient clinical operations while adhering to strict regulatory and compliance standards.
In this position, you will manage daily decisions to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. You will act as a subject matter expert and resource for your team, guiding direct patient care staff through their daily routines, from administering medications and monitoring dialysis treatments to managing emergency situations. Your day involves collaborating with the care team to make patient-centered decisions, overseeing documentation, and ensuring that all clinical practices align with state and federal regulations.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in team development by providing ongoing feedback, participating in hiring and training processes, and leading monthly staff meetings to keep the team informed on operational changes and patient care needs. You will also ensure a safe working environment by promoting OSHA compliance and supervising the proper use of medical equipment.
