As a Clinical Coding Educator, you will become a vital part of our caring community by identifying opportunities to improve provider documentation and creating tailored education plans for each assigned provider. Reporting to the Manager of Medicare Risk Adjustment, this role bridges the gap between data analysis and clinical practice.
Your day will involve arranging educational sessions focused on quality of care and documentation improvements, while analyzing coding audit results to develop data-driven interventions. You will utilize data visualization techniques to prepare comprehensive reports on coding quality trends and risk areas. This position requires active collaboration with other market-facing roles and cross-functional teams to enhance documentation, data integrity, and workflow processes. Whether conducting onsite education based on business needs or presenting to leadership, you will use your expertise to drive compliance and accuracy in a dynamic healthcare environment.

This is a remote position with up to 5% travel required to surrounding provider offices for training or meetings. To ensure effective performance, associates must maintain a dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI and HIPAA information. Your internet service must meet specific criteria, including a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Humana provides appropriate telephone equipment for business requirements. Note that associates in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.
