TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. Our core mission relies on a unique group driving model where drivers travel in convoys of 3–5 vehicles, with one driver per bus, to deliver new school buses from our High Point, NC hub to locations across the U.S. and Canada.

About the Role

This is an Independent Contractor position focused on transporting new school buses over-the-road. You will not be a company driver or an owner-operator; instead, you will join a coordinated team to ensure safe and timely delivery. The role requires staying on the road for multiple days depending on the drop-off location, followed by a group return trip to High Point, NC.

As a Group Driver, you will work closely with a Lead Driver, checking in before each trip departs. You are responsible for the condition of the vehicle during transport and must adhere to strict timelines for both pick-up and drop-off. The work is non-forced dispatch, meaning you choose when you want to drive with us, provided you maintain at least one trip per month to remain active.

Hiring Process & Application

To join the team, you must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. The application process requires a local road test and verification of your driving history. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Additionally, any accidents in the last 3 years must be supported by an accident report before your application can be processed.
