About the Team

TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. Our core mission relies on a collaborative team approach, where drivers travel in groups of 3–5, with one driver per vehicle, to deliver buses throughout the U.S. and Canada.

About the Role

This is an Over-The-Road (OTR) Independent Contractor position focused on driving new Thomas Built School Buses from our hub in High Point, NC, to various delivery locations. Unlike forced dispatch models, we offer flexibility; drivers choose when they want to drive with us. The role requires a professional and courteous demeanor, as you will be working closely with a team to share responsibilities and ensure the safe transport of vehicles.

Drivers are responsible for the condition of each vehicle during transport and must adhere to strict timelines for pick-up and drop-off. The job involves staying on the road for multiple days depending on the destination. After completing a delivery, the group travels back to the pick-up location together. To remain active, drivers must complete at least one trip per month and attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC.

Hiring Process & Application

Applicants must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL and meet specific experience requirements regarding OTR CMV or School Bus driving within the last three years. A local road test is required for those with spotless reports. All applicants must demonstrate knowledge of DOT Hours of Service rules and be proficient in using the MOTIVE app for daily logs; paper logs are not accepted.

For those with a history of accidents, an accident report must be provided to process the application. Additionally, applicants who have completed a SAP program must be at least seven years clear of completion to be considered. Uber, Lyft, and ride-share driving experience do not count toward the required verifiable experience.
