About the Team

TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. Our core mission relies on a collaborative approach where drivers travel in groups of 3–5, with one driver per vehicle, to deliver buses throughout the U.S. and Canada. We pride ourselves on being a non-forced dispatch company, allowing drivers the autonomy to choose when they want to drive with us.

About the Role

This is an Over-The-Road (OTR) Independent Contractor position focused on driving new Thomas Built School Buses. You will join a convoy of 3 to 5 drivers, departing from our hub in High Point, NC, to various delivery locations. The role requires a team-oriented mindset; you will travel with your group, check in with the Lead Driver before departure, and return to the pick-up location together after completing a delivery.

While the position is OTR and may require staying on the road for multiple days depending on drop-off points, we offer significant flexibility. Drivers are paid per mile and can choose their schedule. To remain active, drivers are required to complete at least one trip per month. This is strictly an Independent Contractor role, not a company driver or owner/operator position.

Hiring Process & Application

Candidates must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. The application process requires a local road test and verification of your driving history. We review Motor Vehicle Records (MVR), Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports, CSA scores, and Clearinghouse data. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Additionally, any accidents reported within the last 3 years must be supported by an official accident report before the application can be processed.
