The Lead Support Driver is the safety-sensitive backbone of our operations, stepping in to ensure continuity when regular route drivers are unavailable due to vacation, sick leave, or other business needs. This role is for the driver everyone calls when they need it done right. While the company strives to keep drivers traveling within their region, this position offers the unique opportunity to travel to multiple locations across the Southeast, filling open routes and maintaining service reliability.
You will be responsible for the safety of yourself and others, operating with a clear mind and diligence. The day-to-day involves loading, hauling, and delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and utilizing electronic logging systems. Beyond driving, you will maintain the cleanliness of client locations and company equipment, perform basic repairs, and manage necessary documentation. This is a role that requires adaptability, a commitment to safety, and a passion for environmental stewardship.
