About the Role
The Lead Support Driver is the driver everyone calls when they need it done right. This role is designed to fill in for regular route collection drivers to cover vacation time, sick leave, or other business needs. While the company strives to keep drivers traveling within their region, occasionally the driver will need to travel outside the region to fill open routes. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a clear mind and diligence, as the employee is responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain equipment cleanliness
- check_circlePerform basic repairs on company bins and equipment using hand tools
- check_circleReport all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager
- check_circleUtilize pressure washers to rinse bins and ensure client locations are free of debris
- check_circleOperate manual and automatic transmission vehicles in compliance with DOT and local laws
- check_circleUtilize electronic logging systems to maintain DOT driver logs and required documentation
- check_circleMaintain and submit paperwork including contamination reports, service tickets, and maintenance records
- check_circleLoad, haul, and deliver food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple daily stops
- check_circleOperate manual or electric pallet jacks as needed for material handling
Requirements
- verifiedClass A CDL License (self-certified as Non-Excepted Interstate)

- verifiedAt least 23 years of age with 2 years tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year experience (if Truck Driving School graduate or Military veteran)

- verified5 Years Class A Driving Experience with no accidents or incidents (Preferred)
