About the Role

We are seeking experienced CDL-A flatbed truck drivers for dedicated regional routes in the western region of America, based out of our Fresno, CA terminal (Division 225). In this role, you will operate modern, meticulously maintained flatbed trucks equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies, including lane departure warnings, forward collision systems, and satellite communication devices.

Your day-to-day involves transporting heavy loads, with flatbed drivers tarping approximately 70% of our loads. This requires the physical ability to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. You will enjoy a schedule of 2-3 weeks out followed by 2-3 days at home, with the flexibility to discuss route options that best fit your lifestyle.

To support your journey, we offer a transition package that includes orientation pay, allowing you to focus on driving while we handle the rest. Drivers also have access to an award-winning driver portal app for real-time updates, pay access, and trip data.

Regarding our community, System Transport does not allow pets on the road. However, we do allow riders aged 7 and up after 90 days of safe driving.

Hiring Process

To join our team, candidates must meet specific qualifications, including holding a valid Class A CDL, being at least 21 years old, and having a safe driving record. We require no more than six jobs in the last three years, a minimum of six months of driving experience, and successful completion of a background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse result. Additionally, all flatbed applicants must pass a physical test for tarping capabilities during orientation.
