About the Role

We are seeking experienced CDL-A Flatbed Truck Drivers for our Division 265 terminal in Ennis, TX. In this role, you will operate over-the-road (OTR) routes in the western region of America. You will be responsible for transporting heavy and specialized cargo, requiring you to be physically capable of lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice, as flatbed drivers tarp approximately 70% of our loads.

You will drive the newest flatbed trucks, which are meticulously maintained and equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies, including lane departure and forward collision warning systems, hard brake monitoring, and satellite communication devices. Our 24/7/365 road service staff ensures that if a truck needs repairs, it will not return to the road until it is 100% safe for you to drive.

Life on the Road

This position offers a home time schedule of 3 weeks out with 3 days off. To support your transition, we offer a $1,800 Transition Package, with $1,000 allocated for orientation during your first two weeks so you can focus on driving. Drivers also have access to our award-winning Driver Portal app, providing real-time updates, pay access, trip data, and direct communication with support staff.

Regarding personal time, System Transport does not allow pets. However, riders aged 7 and up are permitted after 90 days of safe driving.

Hiring Process

To join our team, candidates must meet specific safety and experience standards, including a valid Class A CDL, being 21 years of age or older, and maintaining a safe driving record. Applicants must have no more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years and possess at least 4 months of driving experience. The process includes a required background check, a clean drug test, and a clean Clearinghouse result.
