The Middlesex Corporation is a nationally recognized and award-winning leader in the heavy civil construction industry. Since 1972, this family business founded by Robert W. Pereira has developed an extensive client and project list through consistent efforts to safely build America’s infrastructure. The company specializes in building and reconstructing highways, bridges, marine, rail, and transit facilities through a collaborative team approach and a focus on core values. Additionally, Middlesex Asphalt in Central Florida stands as one of the largest and most productive asphalt plants in the United States, while Middlesex Paving has earned an equally solid regional presence and reputation.
The Superintendent serves as the critical link between field operations and project strategy, specifically responsible for the field planning and management of bridge-related construction aspects. This role exists to ensure that the quality of work and materials is upheld, schedules are followed rigorously, and the company’s safety policies are enforced and adhered to by all crew members. The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to organize and plan jobs, directing oversight of labor and equipment time sheets, daily reports, and crew productivity. The position requires a proactive leader who conducts daily huddles and weekly safety talks, ensuring that every team member understands the job hazard analysis and material handling plans before work begins.
We offer our full-time and eligible part-time team members a comprehensive benefits package that is among the best in our industry, reflecting our commitment to our people. Middlesex provides equal employment opportunities to all team members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
