We are seeking a Civil Engineer Technician to provide essential engineering assistance and support to the Public Works Department. This role is vital for the planning, development, and implementation of highway design and construction projects. You will work both in the office and in the field, performing tasks such as staking, surveying, drafting, and construction inspection. The position involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while coordinating with various entities and jurisdictions.

Candidates will be placed at one of four career-ladder levels (Technician I through IV) based on their education, experience, and abilities.
The work location is in Benton County, specifically in the City of Foley, Minnesota. This position requires physical reporting to the assigned work location and involves a mix of office duties and fieldwork. Fieldwork may include operating in various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wetness, and uneven terrain. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel within Minnesota, including extended overnight stays if necessary.
