Industrial Design is an architectural and engineering firm primarily serving the semiconductor industry in the Chandler, Arizona area, while also executing industrial projects nationally. Our multidisciplinary team offers services in architecture, structural, mechanical, process piping, chemical, electrical, I&C, and telecom. We are currently expanding our capabilities to include dedicated civil engineering services to support a growing portfolio of complex industrial and commercial projects, often involving support facilities on existing sites.
We are seeking a licensed Civil Professional Engineer to join our team and lead our civil engineering expansion. This role is designed to provide advanced engineering services across various phases of design projects. You will be responsible for developing preliminary grading and drainage designs, utility design, water flow calculations, rainfall and retention calculations, and creating civil plans, grade and drainage (G&D) sections, site sections, utility plans, and detailed drawings.
The position involves a blend of 85% desk work and 15% field work within an industrial environment. Key duties include performing QA/QC, blue top grade verification, and conducting field reports and observations. As a Civil Engineer, you will operate under general supervision but will exercise independent judgment on technical decisions of considerable difficulty. You will also direct and review the work of lower-level professional and paraprofessional staff, including drafters, technicians, inspectors, and surveyors.
Candidates must possess US work authorization. Please note that this position is not eligible for remote work and requires on-site presence in our industrial environment.
