About the Role
The Child Welfare Case Manager is a pivotal role designed to provide full wrap-around case management services to clients and families. This position is about more than just managing cases; it is about establishing genuine relationships while living out the agency's core values of courtesy, teamwork, and safety.
In this role, you will act as the integrator of all services and supports for each child, including therapy, mental health services, health and dental care, developmental services, and educational support. You will collaborate with parents, Guardians Ad Litem, foster parents, and legal staff to develop case plans aimed at reunification or other permanency for the child. The work requires a high level of adaptability, as you will navigate irregular hours, travel throughout the state, and respond to emergency situations to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAccept assigned cases and meet with children within 2 working days of staffing
- check_circleDocument all case activities in the Florida Safe Families Network database within 48 hours
- check_circleSubmit service requests and provide timely referrals to community resources for clients
- check_circleComplete and submit court documentation and attend all required court activities
- check_circleConduct child safety and family functioning assessments and prepare safety plans
- check_circleConduct diligent searches for parents and family members when deemed necessary
- check_circleConduct home studies for prospective placements and facilitate parental visits
- check_circleProvide direct supervision of children awaiting placement and transport children as needed
- check_circleConduct child visits at least once every 25 days including quarterly unannounced visits
- check_circleDevelop case plans in collaboration with parents and other parties to achieve reunification
- check_circleArrange emergency placements, medical treatment, and services for children at risk
- check_circleEnsure all Independent Living functions are completed as required by regulations
Requirements
