About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Mental Health Worker to join our integrated treatment team. Reporting directly to the Program Manager and receiving supervision from the Clinical Supervisor, this role is designed to support children with developmental or behavioral needs. You will work closely with mothers and team members to foster behavioral, emotional, and developmental goals, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and safe space for all clients.
In this position, you will uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, and values of McAlister Institute. Your day-to-day involves actively participating in treatment team case conferences, coordinating with Healthy Development Services (HDS) and the Developmental Screening and Enhancement Program (DSEP), and collaborating with childcare specialists to implement programs like Incredible Years. You will model self-care practices in alignment with Live Well San Diego values and ensure the maintenance of a clean, safe environment for our clients.
Hiring Process & Application Instructions
All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background investigation (fingerprinting), a pre-employment physical examination, a drug test, and a negative TB test. Candidates must have at least one year clear of probation or parole. Please note that a felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify an applicant due to County of San Diego contractual hiring requirements.
