Our mission is to foster healing, resilience, and wellness through a compassionate, team-based approach that honors the unique needs of every client.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Mental Health Worker to join our integrated treatment team. Reporting directly to the Program Manager and receiving clinical supervision, this role is pivotal in supporting children with developmental or behavioral needs. You will work closely with mothers and a multidisciplinary team to advance children's behavioral, emotional, and developmental goals.
In this position, you will provide screening, assessment, and therapeutic interventions while collaborating with Healthy Development Services (HDS) and the Developmental Screening and Enhancement Program (DSEP). Your day-to-day involves administering child-specific assessments, facilitating therapy groups and individual counseling, and coordinating care with therapists, counselors, and care coordinators. You will also play a key role in implementing the Incredible Years program and providing parenting classes and community referrals. A core part of your mission is to model self-care and promote wellness, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all clients.
All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background investigation (fingerprinting), a pre-employment physical examination, drug testing, and a negative TB test. Candidates must have at least one year clear of probation or parole. Please note that a felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify an applicant due to County of San Diego contractual hiring requirements.
