About the Role

This position serves as a senior leader on the executive team, providing strategic direction for Five Rivers MetroParks (FRMP). The role is pivotal in shaping the agency's future by overseeing comprehensive planning, design, and the management of capital improvement projects for parks, trails, and land acquisition. Working closely with the CEO, the incumbent ensures that all agency initiatives align with the organization's vision, mission, and community priorities.

The day-to-day involves navigating complex planning challenges, evaluating alternative solutions, and developing actionable recommendations for the Board of Park Commissioners and the public. This is a high-visibility role that requires balancing technical expertise with strong leadership to coach and mentor staff, fostering a culture of empowerment and urgency. The position also demands active engagement with the community, representing the agency at local, regional, and national forums to build partnerships and share industry best practices.
