The team is dedicated to advancing the University's mission, vision, and goals through technology. We seek an exceptional individual to join our IT-Administration team, bringing a positive attitude, an active and energetic mind, and a leadership style characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

About the Role

The Chief of Operations serves as the executive leader for the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and the Division of IT's administrative operations. You will partner with the VPIT/CIO and the senior leadership team to lead divisional organizational strategy, representing the VPIT/CIO to on-campus and off-campus constituents, internal committees, and community partners. Additionally, you will maintain a divisional view of the project portfolio, coordinating across initiatives to identify dependencies and resource conflicts while keeping leadership informed on portfolio health, risks, and timing.

Inclusive Leadership

We value inclusive leadership deeply. As part of our culture, we encourage all candidates to reflect on what inclusive leadership means to them, share experiences working with individuals from different perspectives, and describe how issues of inclusivity have impacted their personal or professional journeys. We are committed to a workplace where diverse viewpoints are respected and leveraged to drive innovation.

Hiring Process & Application Instructions

The selection process may include job-related performance tests. A background check, including a criminal records check, is required for employment; a conditional offer may be rescinded if disqualifying information is found or if information was knowingly withheld or falsified.

Please note that as of January 1, 2022, the CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy prohibits the hiring of employees to perform CSU-related work outside the state of California. Additionally, applicants for staff positions are not eligible to work concurrently in a staff position and an Academic Student position.

For those selected for final consideration, applicants may be required to disclose final administrative or judicial decisions regarding sexual harassment within the last 7 years and sign a release form authorizing the release of information concerning substantiated allegations of misconduct.
