About the Role
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) is seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive the agency's technological future. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role is pivotal in developing and implementing a strategic IT plan that supports the MGC's day-to-day operations while rigorously monitoring the regulatory compliance of its licensees.
The CIO serves as the primary point of contact for licensees and technology partners, ensuring the effective fulfillment of business objectives across multiple locations. This position requires a leader who can maintain the connectivity and integrity of the agency's infrastructure while managing a team of support professionals. The ideal candidate will foster an environment focused on end-user customer service, encouraging a proactive technology posture within all MGC business units to keep the agency on the forefront of emerging technologies and strategies.

Requirements

- verifiedExperience managing enterprise IT systems, cybersecurity programs, and vendor contracts

Nice to Have
Experience in gaming, financial services, or another regulated industry. Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPA). Experience in state or federal government operations, knowledge of Massachusetts open meeting and public records laws. Familiarity with gaming technology systems and compliance platforms. Knowledge of Massachusetts state IT regulations, data privacy laws, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
