C/B Instructor Technicians serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the Tactical Support Group (TSG), specializing in Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Plans of Instruction (POIs). This role is critical for bridging the gap between complex mission requirements and operational execution by training both military and civilian personnel on the setup, operation, and tactical application of C/B search gear, analytical equipment, and communications systems.
The position demands a high level of versatility, requiring the incumbent to operate specialized mission-essential gear across land, sea, and air environments. Whether during contingency operations, training exercises, or real-world WMD search operations, the Instructor Technician provides direct support to tactical actions. The role involves not only maintaining personal proficiency but also actively updating training materials and ensuring the TSG team remains ready to deploy into austere, hostile environments.
Candidates must possess a Top-Secret Clearance with current SCI eligibility. The selection process prioritizes individuals with recent experience in C-WMD and/or CBRN operations supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) contingencies. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate the ability to travel on very short notice and work non-standard hours to meet operational demands.
K2 Group is committed to maintaining a workforce capable of performing under extreme conditions. Personnel in this role must be physically and mentally qualified for deployment, adhering to strict readiness standards including the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) and Combat Water Survival Test (CWST). We value resilience, technical expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in contaminated environments while wearing fully encapsulating Personal Protective Equipment for extended periods.
K2 Group is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
