About the Role

Grand Hotel, located on historic Mackinac Island, is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. As a job applicant, you'll have the opportunity to work in a world-renowned, five-star hotel that offers exceptional service and unforgettable experiences to our guests. Our hotel boasts timeless elegance, breathtaking views, and a unique island experience, creating a one-of-a-kind work environment.

As a Chef de Cuisine, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to supervise and coordinate activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel. You will participate in planning menus, preparing and portioning food, and controlling costs. This role involves purchasing ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment, as well as supervising cooks to ensure quality and adherence to preparation and appearance standards. Additionally, you will oversee stewarding to ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, and manage workers engaged in the inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies.
