About the Role
The Certified Surgical Technologist serves as the primary scrub person within our Surgery Services, working under the supervision of the Surgery Services Director and OR Clinical Care Supervisor. This role is critical to patient care activities, requiring you to handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures with a deep understanding of the specific procedures being performed.
In this position, you will maintain the sterile field and ensure that physician preferences for surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for each case. You will practice fiscal responsibility, adhere to the Surgical Services Patient Focused Code of Conduct, and actively participate in hospital committees and Quality Improvement teams. The role also involves orienting new personnel and maintaining a clean, safe environment through proper sterilization techniques.
