Forest Grove Foundation (FGF) is an emerging non-profit organization dedicated to addressing poverty-related issues in Western Washington County. We serve individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health challenges, and provide vital supportive services for those in substance use recovery.
This coming year marks an exciting period of growth for our organization, with the launch of new and expanding programming including transitional housing, food services, and recovery initiatives. We are seeking passionate individuals to join us in building these essential community resources.
This position invites you to turn your lived recovery experience into meaningful peer support. As a Certified Recovery Mentor and Peer Support Specialist, you will walk alongside participants on their recovery journey, offering encouragement, advocacy, and practical assistance.
Your role is grounded in trauma-informed care, housing-first principles, and harm reduction practices, with a specific focus on supporting historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. You will serve as a beacon of hope, using your authentic connection and lived experience to model that recovery is possible. By fostering trust and empowerment, you will help participants navigate complex systems, set personal goals, and celebrate their milestones.
Note: This role is specifically intended to support male-identified program participants. Applicants who identify as male are strongly encouraged to apply.
We believe in the power of lived experience and value diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential components of meaningful recovery. Collaboration energizes our team, and we are dedicated to creating an inclusive atmosphere for all employees. Forest Grove Foundation is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates the unique backgrounds and perspectives of our community.
