This position supports the Behavioral Response team and the Mobile Crisis Response service, extending staffing to provide 24/7 coverage. The team is dedicated to promoting rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency for individuals and families facing serious emotional, neurobiological, and behavioral disorders. The department serves a diverse population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults with severe mental illness, and geriatric patients, often addressing co-occurring disorders and chronic substance abuse.
You will coordinate and provide essential services and resources to help individuals and families identify their strengths and overcome barriers to independent functioning. In this role, you will support clients during crisis situations, offering personalized interventions to enhance their ability to make informed decisions. Your day-to-day work involves facilitating the development of life skills such as daily living activities, socialization, and community functioning, while serving as a mentor to instill hope and teach symptom management and relapse prevention strategies.
You will collaborate with medical providers and multidisciplinary teams to eliminate barriers to culturally competent care, assisting patients in accessing community resources, financial assistance, and stable housing. A key part of your mission is to assess, support, and intervene in crisis situations, encouraging the use of alternatives to emergency departments and inpatient services. You will also assist in developing comprehensive service plans that include recovery management, crisis management, and advanced directives, ensuring adherence to hospital and departmental policies.
This is a full-time position on the Night shift, with hours approximately from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Days vary based on the individual schedule. The role includes shift differentials: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
