About the Role
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants at Minds Matter LLC play a vital role in helping individuals recover from brain injuries. Our approach focuses on the effects of injury on the social, emotional, and physiological condition of our clients. We assist individuals in regaining the physical, perceptual, and cognitive skills needed to perform activities of daily living, ultimately helping them achieve greater independence.
In this position, you will work directly with consumers to identify their needs and develop appropriate compensation techniques to accommodate the consequences of their brain injury. You will integrate employment, educational, and independent living goals into therapy, collaborating closely with consumers, case managers, and other professional staff to ensure goals are being met. Your work will involve evaluating and recommending changes to living or work environments, educating families about brain injury consequences, and maintaining confidential, timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
