This position is dedicated to providing daily supportive and functional care to residents within a compassionate environment. The role operates under established community care procedures directed by nursing leadership, emphasizing a person-centered approach where the resident is viewed as the director of their own care.
As a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team, you will work to maintain residents' comfort and dignity. The day-to-day involves assisting with activities of daily living, responding to call lights, and supporting residents during mealtimes and therapies. A key aspect of this role is building meaningful relationships with residents and their families, offering support with professionalism while actively participating in care plans designed to improve residents' lives.
The environment requires adaptability, as you may encounter emotionally upset residents or family members. The role demands physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and push/pull items, alongside the ability to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary. A clean, safe, and well-ventilated workspace is maintained, with appropriate safety equipment provided to handle exposure to chemicals, infectious waste, or airborne particles.
Candidates must hold current CNA certification for Missouri or Illinois, or be enrolled/eligible for enrollment on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry within 120 days of completing their training program. Prior experience with direct patient care is preferred, as is a genuine desire to join a person-centered care team.
EverTrue is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a supportive environment for all team members.
