We are seeking a Certified Medical Technologist III for our Core Lab Department at UC Medical Center. This full-time, first-shift position is designed for a professional who performs routine and complex laboratory analyses while exercising independent judgment and interpretation.
In this role, you will go beyond standard testing by identifying and correcting problems, developing alternatives when necessary, and staying current in laboratory theory and technique. You will assume responsibility for problem-solving, ensuring the credibility and accuracy of test results through advanced evaluation skills. Your day-to-day involves operating, maintaining, and repairing clinical laboratory equipment, performing quality control procedures, and conducting on-going data analysis to detect trends and implement corrective actions.
You will also serve as a mentor, providing instruction for students and new associates. This position requires a high level of professionalism in interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care in a stressful environment.
