We've made a lot of progress since opening our doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken, and every patient helped is because of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways. At Ochsner, whether you work with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference and that matters.
This position provides individualized medical care to assigned patients through in-person, electronic, and telephone interactions under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. You will assist in the delivery of health care services to patients of various backgrounds and ages, maintaining positive relationships with patients and their families.
Your day will involve working effectively with fellow employees to ensure the efficient flow of patients throughout their visit, providing support to both patients and attending physicians. You will communicate via phone to ensure patient needs are met timely and accurately, while accessing company data systems to document pertinent medical information. This role requires adapting your behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy, and communicating clearly at every stage of the patient care process.
