The 3rd Shift Certified Maintenance Mechanic serves as a critical partner to the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager, ensuring the reliable operation of facility support processes and utilities. In this role, you will be the first line of defense against unplanned production interruptions, working closely with the team to support LEAN initiatives that eliminate downtime caused by process equipment failure.
Your day-to-day involves the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of both process and facility-related equipment. You will implement preventative measures and optimize the preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure the continuous operation of critical systems, including HVAC, air compressors, tow motors, hot oil heaters, and chiller systems. You will also diagnose and repair facility electrical systems (such as PLCs, HMIs, and control wiring) and mechanical systems (such as product vessels, reactors, and pumps).
Beyond technical repairs, you will investigate equipment failures to identify root causes, assist in coordinating contractors and safety permits, and serve on process hazard analysis teams when needed. This position requires a self-motivated team player who can manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate in English.
