About the Role
The Central Sterile Processing Technician 2 is a vital member of the UHealth Tower team, responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures. This role ensures the highest standards of patient safety by achieving competency in two key areas of sterile processing. You will be the backbone of daily operational flow, receiving, processing, stocking, and distributing essential medical supplies.
Your day involves cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, packing, and sterilizing equipment, including implantables, case carts, and emergency carts. You will set up decontamination and assembly workstations daily, adhering to established standard work processes. From transporting instruments to nursing units and ancillary departments to maintaining accurate distribution records and logbooks, your work directly supports the efficiency and safety of surgical and patient care operations. You will also operate and document the use of various sterilizers and processing equipment, ensuring all tools are functional and reporting any malfunctions immediately.

Requirements
