Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, is a high-commitment, center-based ABA Therapy program. Rooted in the evidence that early, high-intensive ABA Therapy leads to the greatest potential reached by children on the autism spectrum, we specialize in providing services to young children.
As leading experts in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our highly-trained clinicians develop individualized, one-on-one programs that help children break down routine tasks into manageable steps. This type of therapy helps children with autism improve communication ability, daily living skills, and the social behaviors necessary to thrive in school, at home, and in their community.
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will be on the front lines of our mission, providing direct client care in both one-on-one and group settings. Your day will involve utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training to support children as they learn new skills. You will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Beyond direct therapy, you will play a vital role in the family dynamic by assisting with parent and caregiver training. You will be the eyes and ears of the treatment team, collecting and recording data on observable client behavior to track progress. Effective communication with families regarding client milestones is a key part of your daily interaction, ensuring parents feel supported and informed.
The environment is active and engaging. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy space and be ready to physically engage with children, including getting down on the floor and moving quickly to ensure safety. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic setting where every interaction counts toward a child's development.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to participate in the company's background check process. We look for individuals who are not only certified but also demonstrate a genuine commitment to the well-being of children with autism.
Joining our team offers more than just a paycheck; it offers a structured career path in the field of Behavioral Analysis. We provide access to Centria's Employee Assistance Plan for mental health and counseling, discounts to hundreds of retail partners, and early wage access through Rain. We also offer a unique Practicum Program for aspiring BCBAs to earn their supervision hours.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, Veteran status, or disability status.
