Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, is a high-commitment, center-based ABA Therapy program. Rooted in the evidence that early, high-intensive ABA Therapy leads to the greatest potential reached by children on the autism spectrum, we specialize in providing services to young children.
As leading experts in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our highly-trained clinicians develop individualized, one-on-one programs that help children break down routine tasks into manageable steps. This type of therapy helps children with autism improve communication ability, daily living skills, and the social behaviors necessary to thrive in school, at home, and in their community.
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will be on the front lines of our mission, providing direct client care in both one-on-one and group settings. Your day will involve utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training to support children as they learn. You will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
This role is vital for fostering growth; you will assist with parent and caregiver training, ensuring families are empowered to support their child's progress. You will also serve as a key communicator, sharing client updates with families as directed by the clinical team. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment is essential, as is the ability to physically engage with children—getting on the floor, moving quickly, and ensuring safety at all times.
Working at Centria offers more than just a job; it offers a structured career path in the field of Behavioral Analysis and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of special needs children. We provide a supportive environment with access to our Employee Assistance Plan for mental health and counseling, as well as discounts through our Benefit Hub. For those aspiring to become BCBAs, we offer a unique Practicum Program to help you earn your supervision hours.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, Veteran status, or disability status.
