Life Skills Autism Academy is dedicated to supporting children on the Autism Spectrum through compassionate, evidence-based care. Our team works to foster critical developmental skills in language, communication, and social readiness, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in their unique journey.
As a Behavior Technician, you will be the frontline partner in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Working primarily in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will provide direct client care that blends intensive teaching with natural environment training. This role is vital for helping children acquire new skills while maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Your day will involve implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting precise data on client behaviors, and collaborating closely with parents and caregivers to support the child's progress. Success in this position requires patience, emotional resilience, and a genuine drive to make a positive impact on the lives of special needs children and their families.
Candidates must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or be willing to complete a 40-hour training course and pass the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. The selection process includes a review of qualifications, a background check, and verification of necessary certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and a TB test.
