Life Skills Autism Academy is dedicated to the development of children on the Autism Spectrum. Our core mission is to provide high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy that fosters critical growth in language, communication, social skills, and school readiness.
As a Behavior Technician, you will serve as a vital partner in a child's journey, delivering ABA therapy in both 1:1 and group settings. Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement individualized treatment plans designed to increase developmental skills. Your day-to-day involves a blend of intensive teaching and natural environment training, requiring you to be physically active, emotionally resilient, and deeply engaged with your clients.
This role is more than just data collection; it is about building trust with families and creating a safe, organized, and supportive environment where children can thrive. You will be the front line of care, utilizing safe procedures to manage behaviors while maintaining a positive attitude and patience to help clients stay on task.
Candidates must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). If you do not currently hold this certification, you must be willing to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment.
To proceed, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and have reliable transportation. Selected candidates will be required to participate in a background check process and obtain CPR/First Aid certification and a TB test if not completed within the past year.
Life Skills Autism Academy values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, Veteran status, or disability status. We seek individuals with strong cultural competency who remain flexible and open-minded, ready to bring a positive drive to help children acquire new skills.
