About the Role
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, an excellent driving record, and a commitment to safety and compliance with all DOT/OSHA regulations.
In this role, you will safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers, to transport goods to designated locations on time. You will be responsible for performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers. A key part of your day involves securing cargo properly to ensure load safety while adhering to all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
Schedule and Location
This is a local position with home time nightly. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for occasional overtime to meet business needs.
